Mothership Kayaking with Ocean Light II Adventures
Mothership Kayaking is the latest and greatest choice for those looking for the adventure and challenge of kayaking along with the comfort and decadence of staying aboard a 71-foot sailboat. We travel in style and comfort on the Ocean Light II to new locations and each day you will be given the opportunity to kayak along the spectacular British Columbia coastline - amongst the wild islands and deep into coastal fiords with expert guides. You’ll enjoy delicious home-cooked meals and a warm, dry bed will await you each night.
Ocean Light II Adventures is now set up to run Mothership Kayaking Tours in the Northern Great Bear Rainforest and in Gwaii Haanas National Park.

2013 Mothership Kayaking: The Northern Great Bear Rainforest
We'll journey into the Northern Great Bear Rainforest and explore the beauty of the inner and outer BC coast both by sailboat and by kayak. Within the Great Bear Rainforest lie some of the world’s last pristine coastal rainforest - old growth hemlock and cedar forests; tidewater estuaries rich with grasses, roots and berries; spectacular sinuous fiords, cascading rivers and streams and majestic snow-capped mountains. The Rainforest is home to a diverse array of wildlife including grizzly bears, black bears and wolves. The outer coast is equally as impressive with rocky islets, windswept shores, sandy beaches and open water. The wildlife includes sea lions, seals, whales and an incredible variety of coastal birds.
Note: This trip is being offered only in 2013.
Contact us if you're interested in joining us for this spectacular active adventure in 2013.
All of our Mothership Kayaking trips are run in conjunction with Butterfly Tours - specialists in guiding all levels of kayakers on trips of a lifetime!
